Recently , I wrote about Tennessee's requirements for child safety seats . I wanted to create an awareness for the use of child safety restraint systems for older toddlers . Today , I was shocked to read about recent testing of infant car seats . Consumer Reports Magazine tested 12 different infant car seats . The only seats that passed their testing was the Baby Trend Flex-loc and the Graco Snugride with EPS . Consumer Reports stated most "failed disastrously at even low speeds". They even recommended a federal recall of the Evenflo Discovery . I strongly encourage everyone who has small childern to check their car seat and follow the developments of this story. It would be interesting to review the sales material on these substandard car seats to see what promises they made about insuring your child's safety .
