Court Victory for Consumers

Last week , the court system gave consumers a big victory . In 2005 . your Congress gave immunity to car rental companies to prevent them from being sued in an accident or injury case in one of their rental cars . It was big business at work to deny citizens their day in court . A car rental compnay in effect did not have to do anything to make sure the cars and drivers were adequately insured . In this so called era of tort reform , it is the court system that prevents abuses by big business and the government who are being lobbied by these groups to protect their own interests . It is the court system that protects the public not your government who only protects the special interest groups . Thank goodness the court found the Graves Admendment unconstitional .
