Hwy 70 Car Accident Claims Woman's Life

An accident two-car on Highway 70 East Thursday morning claimed the life of Joyce B. Tyus. Tyus was killed when a Chevy Silverado, driven by Eric Bell, crossed the center line and hit Tyus' Altima head-on.

Officials at the scene said Tyus was not wearing her seatbelt but that her son, who was sitting in the front passenger seat was wearing his. His wife, who is pregnant and was lying down in the back seat, was not wearing a seatbelt.

Bell was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured, officials said.
