We recently settled a case involving an car accident with a Metro Transit Authority Bus . We settled the case the Friday before the trial date . As with most cases , I learn a little something in each case . The point here is that accident cases involving the Metro Transit Authority do not fall under the Governmental Tort Liabilty Act . The Governmental Tort Liability Act in Tennessee (TN) limits the amount one can recover for their damages . Lawsuits in which the Nashville city buses are at fault do fall under this act and you can recover the full measure of your losses .
