In two seperate accidents , driver overcorrection was the cause of the accident . In Wilson County , Tennessee , a driver overcorrected his dump truck and and slammed into Joe Hancock of Lafayette , Tennessee . It is reported that the dump truck driver overcorrected his dump truck and hit Mr. Hancock's car head-on. Overcorrection occurs when the driver veers off the roadway onto the shoulder then overcorrects the steering to go into the other lane of traffic.
