Road hazards are important to car and truck drivers . However , it is of the upmost importance to motorcyclists . Potholes , railroad tracks , road debris and other types of road hazards may require immediate and sudden action of a motorcycle driver . It is imperative to be aware of road conditions and give yourself plenty of time to react in order to avoid a motorcycle accident . The issue of road hazards can come into play if you have been in a motorcycle accident . Was the city or county put on notice of the potholes that caused your accident ? Did the railroad know the railroad crossing need maintence ? The city or the railroad company may be at fault in your accident . There is a host of other issues , but the issue is if you have been in a motorcycle accident there may be other facts to consider other than driving and other motorists .
