Tire failure in large motor homes is being linked to serious accidents across the nation . RV's are loaded with accessories that increase the weight of the RV. The heavy loads together with the weight shifting of the loads create extra pressure on the tires. A front wheel blow out is more dangerous because it makes it difficult to steer the RV . The National Highway Traffic and Safety Adminstration is investigating Tire failure in these type of cases . The agency recommends that motor homes have larger tires and upgrade other safety features installed . In response to this report , one leading company filed a defect report and changed the type of tires it was placing on it's motor homes .
