The boating season is just beginning in Tennessee . We are blessed with a great number of lakes thanks to the Corps of Engineers . In Nashville alone , we have two major lakes Old Hickory and Percy Priest . To prevent a boating accident , please remember some simple rules. Always , wear a personal floatation device. Second , keep your boat under control and do not use excessive speed . Third , watch your alcohol consumption . Boating under the influence of alcohol is a crime . Happy Boating .
