A Metro Transit Authority Bus slammed into William Johnson on the 16 day of January , 2007 here in Nashville , Tennessee . The driver was cited was failure to yield to a pedestrian . Mr. Johnson was in the crosswalk when he was hit and had the signal to cross . The driver was placed on adminstrative leave . You can sue the Metro Transit Authority . They are covered by a seperate insurance coverage than the Metopolitan Government of Nashville . Mr Johnson suffered broken ribs , deflated lungs , and other injuries . Drivers of these buses and tractor trailers have should have a greater duty to keep a proper lookout for pedestrians and other cars .
