Summer is warming up here in Nashville and the State of Tennessee is increasing it's inspections of day-care bus services. An estimated 36 children die each year from heat exposure inside a car. To prevent these deaths from happening, day-care transportation is being watched closely. Vans are used to transport the kids to various field trips and activities. . The inspectors are looking for driver training, background checks on the drivers, and general maintenance. The inspections are a reminder to the day-care industry not to leave any child unattended in a hot car or van.
