The nursing home fire lawsuits in Nashville , Tennessee have finally been settled after three years . A fire started at the National Healthcare Facility on Patterson Street on Sept. 25 , 2003 . The plaintiffs alleged exposed wiring on the electric bed hand controls , lack of training of personal , and numerous safety violations . Hopefully, the trial court will now unseal the records so the public will now know what really happened . Terms of the settlement are confidential . I had earlier posted the website for nursing home fire safety in Tennessee so you can check on fire safety for the nursing home where your family member may living .
