Recently, I attended the American Association for Justice annual convention in Chicago . One of the seminars I attended was put on by the Interstate Trucking Litigation Group . It was a great learning experience on these unique cases . So , I thought I would share some of the biggest mistakes made by attorneys in truck accident cases . The first mistake made is not starting these cases soon after the accident . An attorney who represents trucking companies gave me tremendous insight on how they work a case and gain an advantage on most attorneys . Virtually every major truck company and specialized insurers of the trucking industry have built a 24-hour response team to respond to major or catastrophic accidents . That means that within 24-48 hours a complete accident reconstruction and survey of the scene has been completed . More tomorrow.
