On Friday , I was speaking at a seminar to a group of lawyers sponsered by Barristers Educational Services . The topic I was speaking to them was on maintaining a sucessful trial practice . One of the areas was using demonstrative evidence . Demonstrative evidence covers many types of non-oral proof intended to demonstrate or explain to the trier of fact the events giving rise to the accident . There are many items you can use . For example , 911 tapes , photos from the scene , maps , or videos of ones's physical therapy treatment all convey a powerful message . Gathering this evidence while the case is still fresh is important . That is why you should start quickly on your case . The insurance companies are already at work while shouldn't you .
