Wal-Mart Takes Accident Victim's Cash

A Wal-Mart employee was left brain damaged and in a wheel chair as a result of a tractor-trailer accident . The insurance company settled her case for $700,000. She was unable to work and was left with $ 417,000. after expenses to take care of her for the rest of her life . However , Wal-Mart sued her for her settlement and got it . According to the Wall Street Journal , a clause in Wal-Mart 's health plan allowed Wal-Mart to recoup the medical expenses it paid. In catastrophic cases , injured victims are almost never fully compensated for their injuries . It is the continued story of profits over people . Now , the taxpayers have to support her on Social Security and Medicad. Tomorrow , I will talk about some steps to prevent this from happening to you .
