Tennesse is blessed with numerous lakes like Old Hickory Lake , Precy Priest Lake , and Center Hill Lake along with many others. It is that time of the year when people are out using their boats and enjoying the outdoors . The rule on operating one's boat or personal watercraft is found at Tennessee Code Section 69-9-216 . No person shall operate any motorboat or vessel , or manipulate any water skis , surfboard , tube , speciality recreational device or similar device in a reckless or negligent manner so as to endanger the life , limb , property of any person . This is the baseline duty of all boat operators in Tennessee .
