I was reading the Nashville Tennessean Newspaper this morning about an apartment house fire . The paper reported that the fire started on the first floor . Hopefully , no one was injured and my blessings go out to those families . This article reminded me of the importance of fire safety to prevent serious injuries from house fires .I am currently handling a fire case that could have been avoided by installing a fire detector .

Many municipal ordinances require the installation of smoke detectors in new homes .ALso,Tennessee State law requires that all family rental units must be equiped with a smoke detector . Please check your home to make sure it has a working smoke detector in place . The lack of smoke detectors could make the landlord liable if any injuires occur .
