Traffic Deaths Down in Tennessee

The Tennessee Department of Safety has reported a drop in traffic deaths state-wide . Nashville , Tennessee is the only place where the fatalities rose . Over 97 people died in Nashville , Davidson County in 2006 . Metro Police spokesman report that the non-use of seat belts is the biggest reason for this high number . Robertson , Sumner , Dickson , and Williamson Counties all saw dramatic decreases in traffic fatalities in 2006 . Local law enforcement officers attribute increased traffic law enforcement in the decline of these deaths .
